::week eleven::

Ah, so for week eleven. And again I say, already? Seriously? I can't believe time flies by so darn fast.

Here are Sandy and I, working hard on saturday morning. I finally decided to put the darn Christmas decorations away, once and for all, and of course the baby wouldn't sleep while I did it. So he got to be wrapped up and carted around.

This Moby wrap has been so useful. I use it all the time and Sandy seems to be really comfortable in it. He's even slept through two hours of primary while I did singing time in it, for four weeks. It's amazing. I'm really glad I bought it. It's nice to have him all snuggled up close and still be able to do some things with my hands.

Here's the Sand in an outfit Dixie sent him. He looks so cute! He proceeded to poop on it, but at least I got some pictures. Good thing Dixie's not letting Kris forget his Denver roots!

Yes, his double chin is hilarious!

And here's Sunday. The boys are wearing their matching ties that Lechelle made and gave them for Christmas. I just love them! I got Sandy his little white shirt onesie when we were in Phoenix. He just looks like a little man in it, doesn't he? All the old ladies at church were freaking out over his shirt and tie. They loved it. I can't blame them.
And I love that he and Max match. Thanks Lechelle, because as we discussed, finding things that match that can fit a nearly 7 year old and a tiny little guy is so darn hard! We also love the dino shoes that came from Lechelle.

Will Max ever get those front teeth back? I miss them so much.
Week eleven. A good week.

::the tenth week!!::

Week number ten was a little crazy. I felt like I was drowning in things to do. We got back from our Phoenix trip and of course there were mounds of dirty laundry to take care of and all sorts of other projects waiting for me.

We also had a little health scare. One of Sandy's newborn screening tests came back with a (slightly) elevated reading and I had to drive him down to UNM hospital (all by myself) to have another set of testing done. It was really unpleasant and made me really nervous and stressed of course. Everything turned out normal and ok so we were extremely relieved, but it did give me a good chance to think and realize that it didn't matter if our Sandy wasn't perfect, he's our darling boy and we'd just make sure everything was as good for him as it could be. But we're really grateful that he's ok.

So anyway, I spent a lot of time driving and a good amount of time trying to catch up on work. Poor Sand and Max spent more time than they wanted to in the car.

So turns out the only pictures I have of the baby from week 10 are car seat pictures. And they're sad pictures too.
I wanted to showcase some of his cute clothes, because I went to Carter's in Phoenix and got some adorable stuff and I got a few things on sale from the Gap too that are just to die for. But of course, car seat pictures don't do much for seeing baby clothes, and the baby always seems to soil the clothes that are the cutest, so oh well.
20110119-20110119-IMG_2890
Oh, and another thing this week, Sandy got his first set of shots from the doctor, poor guy. See? I told you it was a crazy week. He didn't have a good time with it and he was sad all day after. So this picture is from shots day.
It was supposed to show you his adorable little jeans and flannel shirt, but oh well.
20110119-20110119-IMG_2891
Ah, now that's a bit happier face--a bit.

He wasn't too happy for the next day or two either, and he didn't sleep well at night. I'm not used to that anymore, since he's been doing such a great job sleeping, so I was pretty worn out.
20110120-20110120-IMG_2893
I think he might be wondering why I'm taking pictures of him instead of getting him out of the dreaded seat here.
20110120-20110120-IMG_2894
But how cute is his little star jacket? I like my baby in a hood.

So we survived another week. And a tough one it was. I wasn't sad to see this one roll on by. This next week is already much better.

********I forgot I had this adorable photo on my phone.

I love these two boys so much. I'm so glad we had a happy picture for this week, even though it was hard to find!

::week nine::

The latest week report ever! I've been busy. You'll be glad to know I finally got all of the Christmas decorations down and put away. It took until this saturday. Everytime I would see a Christmas decoration it would just make me tired, so I'm so glad they're finally all packed away.
Then we had our Phoenix trip during week nine. Very fun and busy.

So anyway, here are a few fun photos from the week.

I think this one of the boys in the hotel is so sweet.
20110114-20110114-IMG_2859
We feel so lucky and blessed that Max loves his little brother so much. And I know their relationship will go through lots of changes in the next few (and many) years, but it's off to a great start. Adorable.

Here's Sandy hanging out in the car after a feeding and a change. He did great on the trip eating in the car. We didn't have any problems changing him in the car either, luckily, since he's been known to poop on people relatively often.
He was patient and I think he had a good time with all of us, when he wasn't too sick of the carseat.
20110113-20110113-IMG_2839

And here are my favorite Sandy photos of week nine.
I was shopping at the Gap for baby socks and ran across this cute, rather gorgeous colored, full body sweater in the sale section. Well I HAD to get it. And he looks so cute in it. I don't know how many more times he'll end up wearing it because it's darn warm and the winter just hasn't been that cold so far, but we'll see.
It suits him, no matter how many more times he's going to sport it.

Um, cutest thing EVER? I think so.
We love our Sand.

::week seven::

Ah, week seven for our little Sandy. The week after Christmas! It was a fun week with Max off school. Kris worked hard all week because it was school vacation, and those are the best times for our office to be busy.
One day we had an one of Max's sweet little friends from the ward over. She loved Sandy and wanted to hold him. She's the youngest in our family, so she doesn't get much experience with babies!

Sandy's basically as big as she is.

A few days later we took a drive someplace and when we got back the baby looked so adorable snoozing in his carrier that I had to take a photo or two.
20101229-20101229-IMG_2746
This hat is special, and it's going to get it's own blog post soon--as soon as I can snag a minute or two. Isn't it adorable?
20101229-20101229-IMG_2748
The shoes are courtesy Aunt Lorri. They're SO DANG CUTE!!

And then later that day Max was playing with Sandy and I was seeing the most adorable faces. It was pretty dark in the room though, so the photos aren't that great.
But he's still just so cute.

He loves Max!

Late in the week, baby in my bed.

It was a good week, but now unfortunately the winter vacation is over and Max is back in school. Now I have to figure out how to find enough time to get the tree down and the decorations put away. Not too fun because it's a lot of work and depressing. But I'm afraid it'll get more depressing every day that I leave it all out.
Would somebody tell Sandy to take some good (or any) naps tomorrow so I can get some work done?? He's quite excellent at being cute, but not so good at napping.

::new year & lookalikes::

Here we are at 1-1-11. I think this will be a great year for us, we're looking forward to it.
And just to celebrate New Years day, here's another set of cute little lookalikes for you.

That makes me smile.
We're going to hang out together for the rest of the day, watching football, playing games and making cookies. Hopefully there won't be a lot of crying from the small guy. He's had a lot of yucky gas lately and he's been sad. But hopefully we'll have him all figured out soon.
Happy New Year everybody!

::highlights week six::

I'm very annoyed that I wasn't able to post this yesterday. The power went out last night just as I was sitting down to do it. I'll probably say more about that in a post later. Last night was kind of a comedy of errors, but just not that funny.

Anyway, I'm postdating it to yesterday just to make me feel better.

Week SIX already? Yikes. He's getting huge. This baby is ginormous. Not so much fat as just big and substantial!
Max actually gets to kick off today's highlights. He was just so cute coming home from church in his button-up and Christmas sweater. Adorable.
20101219-20101219-IMG_2573
I had Sandy at home with me during church, and we were wrapping Christmas presents. He evidently thought that was pretty boring.
20101219-20101219-IMG_2576
20101219-20101219-IMG_2580
He's actually in his church clothes too since he and I went to Sacrament meeting and then escaped the den of contagion for home.

Next, more Max and Sand pictures. I just can't help but take them. They're so cute together and the comparison of Max's big kidness and Sandy's babyness are just irresistible, at least to me.
20101222-20101222-IMG_2583
This is the face Max usually makes when he has to hold his screaming brother. "Um, can somebody please help?"
But then Sandy grabbed his finger, and he LOVES that.
20101222-20101222-IMG_2586
And so baby earned himself a kiss.
20101222-20101222-IMG_2588

Then another Sandy on the floor picture.
20101222-20101222-IMG_2608
Extra cute since he's awake, right?

Christmas Eve:
I posted one of these already. We waited all day for Sandy to wake up enough to take a picture of the boys in their Christmas sweaters together. But he never did. Then the sun started setting so we just had to go for it. They're so cute.
20101224-20101224-IMG_2678

And Christmas day, taking a poor nap in his moses basket in the living room while we had fun.
20101225-20101225-IMG_2725-1
Quite the eventful week for such a sweet small guy. And the rest of us too. Week seven is almost over now. Can somebody tell the train to slow down??

::week 5 highlights::

Here's a little of Sandy's week five for you.
It was a busy one, what with the snowstorm and the football game and getting ready for Christmas. We still got some fun pictures though of course!
This week Sandy got to take his first "real" bath. He loved it. He would've stayed in there all afternoon if he could've.
20101212-IMG_1227-1
You've seen a couple other of these carseat ones, but I thought this one was just so cute. I love the stripey suit and his silly face.
20101211-20101211-IMG_2488

Ok, here's the funniest thing I have for the week. Kris wanted a picture of Sandy with his dental books for something, so we did a couple of little photo shoots. Since I don't have lights, it's complicate to get things looking right, and they're still not where I wanted, but they did turn out pretty cute. Sandy was patient for about 3 minutes and then he wanted off the shelf, dang it!!
20101211-20101211-IMG_2501
20101211-20101211-IMG_2502
So we got him off before he got too mad.

And last but not least, Sandy sitting in the rocking chair that is currently in our room, waiting for me to do something like dry my hair or brush my teeth. Little guys sure have to wait around a lot.
20101214-IMG_1236
5 weeks already? Yikes, time flies.
