::may in phone photos::

I hate how little I've posted so now I'm just grasping at straws trying to remember all that's been going on. The days just zip by because we're so busy with work and all the other stuff that's been going on.
sandy monkey face
Monkey picture face is important of course. He thinks he's sooooo funny.

A pretty goofy picture of Max's class that his teacher sent me one day. I think it's really fun that they have such a big age range. On any given day he could play or work with kids from 5 to 12. That's much more like real life than being with kids all the same age. I definitely don't work with people that are all my same age--at work or church!

Sandy watching Max fill up the car for me. This was so nice until somebody told me it's "illegal". Argh.
IMG_2977
A classic nighttime scene in Sandy's room. I'm not sure why Max is reading to Sandy while both perched on Kris's lap, but Kris looks longsuffering. And I'm pretty sure he's checking his phone.

Me, on the way to a leadership seminar in Phoenix. I flew there and back the same day. It was an interesting experience. Pretty exhausting but cool that I could do it!
IMG_2974
This is some homework where the spelling just slayed me. Woflefls.

Here's Max at the Wild West 12 hr bike race with Kris. He had a blast, met up with kids that he played with last year and just loved hanging out and riding his bike around. It doesn't get much better than that really.
And last of all for today:

Bright and cheery morning Sandy in my bed. He's a sweetie.

::disneyland for mom's bday::

My dad and I planned a surprise trip to Disneyland for my mom's birthday in early May. My kiddos were more than happy to help out by going along.
IMG_2979
I hardly have any photos from this trip, I tried to pack pretty light so I didn't bring a big camera. It was a very quick trip too, just two days, so we were pretty busy playing and not so busy documenting, though I think my mom has some pretty great photos.
Here we are on the new Cars ride. This is how I always end up looking in ride photos.
IMG_2986
It wasn't even that scary.
IMG_2989
Not a lot to say about the above. We were having fun I guess.
IMG_2992
An ele-bee from the Pooh ride. Sandy loves the Pooh ride, in fact he just looked at that picture and told me so.
IMG_2990
Baby on carousel pictures are my favorites. But really he's not a baby. I have to keep reminding myself of that.

IMG_2993
This is the face Sandy kept making anytime somebody tried to take his picture:
IMG_2994
Charming, right?
I'm going to have to go and find the pictures my mom gave me because my line up here is pretty pitiful. I don't even have a group photo. Murphy and Laura came with us, and it was fun to spend some time with them.
All in all it was a fun trip and I think it was a really fun surprise for mom--right mom? I'm glad we got to do it.

And last but not least here's Sandy fuzzing Grandpa's beard. It was the funniest thing--we flew out from the LA airport at the same time as my parents. Our flight was lining up first, so we said our goodbyes to my folks and went to line up. Suddenly I realized that Sandy (who was on my back in a backpack) is yelling "WAIT!! WAIT Grandpa, WAIT! I need to fuzz your beard!!" We had to call them back over for a quick beard fuzz. Some ladies that were on our flight saw the whole thing and nearly swooned. One of them told me later how cute Sandy was with the beard fuzzing. I had to agree of course.

::work trip::

In April Kris and I took the whole staff to a training in Phoenix, AZ. It was quite the adventure to drive 16 people across a couple of states. We had a big old 15 passenger van and our SUV.
I think everybody had a really good time, we did take them out to some yummy restaurants. We all learned a lot too.

Here's the whole group without me. Like the cool coordinating t-shirts?
The crew in class:
IMG_2955
A couple of other groups there were very envious of our awesome shirts. I think they felt shown up.

Us at breakfast, complete with photobomb by Ivan.
IMG_7225 And finally, the whole group with me this time.
We're going back again in July. It's only supposed to be about 110 degrees. Yikes....

::he picked his own outfit::

This is from back in Jan. Pretty stylin'.

I like how Sandy sidles in. And his side curls.

Max cracks me up. I can't remember if this outfit was PJs or daytime, either way, impressive.

::spring break san diego::

Over Max's spring break (a month ago!!) we escaped for just a couple of nights to a condo on in Mission Beach. It was really nice to break away for a bit and spend time together.
I brought my big camera and didn't take a shot but with my phone--classic. But sometimes you just have to live in the moments and not be worrying about cameras, right?
Untitled
Cinnamon rolls for breakfast. The boys had a lot of fun running around the "new house."
Untitled
San Diego has such fun flora! Just all sorts of weird plants. This blossom is from a tree in the little tiny yard of the condo. Or else from a Dr Suess book.
Untitled
We just love the beach. Although I got sand in every crevice from Mr Sandy throwing it on me over and over. He thought it was funny and just couldn't get why I was so annoyed.
Untitled

The water was freezing cold but of course Max couldn't stay away from it. I had to drag him out when we finally left.

And on the way home--little Sandy with his adorable little plane. It was empty enough that we got two rows and each of us had a boy to manage. It was nice. I'm really glad we went.

::april by phone photos::

Hot tub:
IMG_2917
We not only got one, but we had to install a little cement pad for it to sit on and move some trees around. It's very fun to sit out there in the quiet dark and look at the stars.
Poor Sandy was really sick in the middle of the month, some sort of stomach bug. He threw up and threw up and it lasted several days. He even threw up in the produce section of Albertsons--buckets.

On the way back from the doctor's office.
IMG_2900
Not enjoying my attempts to cheer him up by playing cars with him.

IMG_2905
"Pick me up! I can't walk, my nummy huwts."
IMG_2913
Making cookies when he finally felt a little better. (only a little at this point as you can tell.)

And last but not least, Max with tissues in his ears to block out the crying at dinner. He's holding cauliflower in his hand. His facial expression I take no responsibility for.
