::suit::

Kathy got Max a suit for his birthday. It's appropriate since he's so dang old now. He looks old and mature in the suit--deceptively so.

I had a hard time finding a good spot to take a picture of these two for some reason. Some mornings the sun pouring in is just so bright and almost harsh!

I'm definitely not sure that standing them in front of the huge TV and the green on green color scheme was the right idea, but oh well.
You get the picture.
Two matching Hendricks dudes in pinstriped suits.
I was pretty proud to take these two guys to church with me.

::week eleven::

Ah, so for week eleven. And again I say, already? Seriously? I can't believe time flies by so darn fast.

Here are Sandy and I, working hard on saturday morning. I finally decided to put the darn Christmas decorations away, once and for all, and of course the baby wouldn't sleep while I did it. So he got to be wrapped up and carted around.

This Moby wrap has been so useful. I use it all the time and Sandy seems to be really comfortable in it. He's even slept through two hours of primary while I did singing time in it, for four weeks. It's amazing. I'm really glad I bought it. It's nice to have him all snuggled up close and still be able to do some things with my hands.

Here's the Sand in an outfit Dixie sent him. He looks so cute! He proceeded to poop on it, but at least I got some pictures. Good thing Dixie's not letting Kris forget his Denver roots!

Yes, his double chin is hilarious!

And here's Sunday. The boys are wearing their matching ties that Lechelle made and gave them for Christmas. I just love them! I got Sandy his little white shirt onesie when we were in Phoenix. He just looks like a little man in it, doesn't he? All the old ladies at church were freaking out over his shirt and tie. They loved it. I can't blame them.
And I love that he and Max match. Thanks Lechelle, because as we discussed, finding things that match that can fit a nearly 7 year old and a tiny little guy is so darn hard! We also love the dino shoes that came from Lechelle.

Will Max ever get those front teeth back? I miss them so much.
Week eleven. A good week.

::more cousins::

At some point Gram had purchased the same shirt for both Max and Scooter. Scooter loves his and brought it along on his visit (well, really it was Lorri that brought it I'm sure, but anyway) and Max loves his, so was more than happy to wear it.
Since they wanted to wear that one shirt every day, I thought it might be fun to make a Target run and see if we could find them another matching shirt set so we'd have some more options.

It was tough though, considering that Max is so huge and Scooter so small. I can't shop for Max in the little kid section anymore.
So we found quasi-matching shirts. I think they both really liked them though. In fact, Max has worn his several times since, and I heard that Scooter refused to take his off at bedtime one day at home and ended up sleeping in it or something cool like that. Success!!!!
So here you go--please try to ignore the goofy shadows from the super bright sun pouring through the holes in the blinds.

Posing these goofballs is no easy task.

I love the opposing mouth positions on this one.

And then we went outside to try some more.

Finally, a good one! And aren't they cute?
And yes, Max needs a haircut. BAD. But he doesn't want to go. I'll get it done soon hopefully. Maybe this weekend if I don't run out of energy......

::::

Go BYU!  Beat Oklahoma!  Or else, just don't get slaughtered, ok?
We have friends coming over to enjoy the game.  We're glad to have cable this year (unlike last year) so we can actually enjoy games that are broadcast nationally--although of course the nationally broadcast ones are the dangerous ones.  I mean, Oklahoma?  Yikes.
Go cougs.
This really isn't a great photo of anybody but Max, but that's not the point, right?

::guess who::

We're lucky enough to have a semi-surprise visit from Kris's brother Kelly this week! He came in today and gets to stay until next week.
It's only too bad his wife Lechelle couldn't come with him. Next time, right Lechelle??

Poor Kris has had kind of an intense week. He's on call right now, and has had to go in and take calls at night the last few days. Some weeks are light and some are heavy, this one's been heavy so far, and it's only been a few days! He's also on a rotation where he goes to the operating room three days a week to learn about administering anesthesia. It's interesting, but he has to get up at about 5:30 those mornings. It ruins him for the evening. He's super tired, and with good reason, poor guy.

Anyway, Kelly got here this afternoon, and he and Max were already having a good old time. Matching. I got them the cutest shirts for christmas. Too bad Max's is pretty much too small already--his little belly sticks out the bottom unless he's wearing something underneath.

And speaking of matching, how about this look?

Just when we were talking about grabbing some after dinner celebratory ice cream Kris's pager went off. It was a big messy case, so Kelly thought he'd go along to observe and keep Kris company. I might not see them for a good long while, but at least they're together. Brothers are great.
