::a bit of easter::

A lot of the family already saw these few on the FacePage, but I wanted to at least post something really quickly--before I run utterly out of energy!
Boys in matching ties. Except Dad this time. IMG_7112

We can only keep the little one in place for so long before he slips away.
IMG_7114
Is Max's suit just a little too big? Or is it Max that's too big? He's growing fast.
IMG_7122
The face on the right is the same one that cranked and whined (loudly, I might add) all through sacrament meeting. Don't let him fool you into thinking he's happy or anything.

Love my boys!

::instagram & phone march::

Since I've been doing such a bad job blogging, here's a little instagram from during March. Just for fun.
I love this!
Cutest thing ever hanging on the wall at Max's school. The little characters he's been drawing are so cute!
It's a Hawaiian shirt kind of day.
Cheery outfit without Sandy in it.

Cheery outfit on cheery morning Sandy.

#PicTapGo Santa Fe sunset when Kris and I were lucky enough to be out on a date.

Max's group at school working on some serious chemistry. Love the little guy at the bottom left in the aviator "safety glasses."

That's one impressive squeeze.

::::

Max has really been expressing his artistic side the last few weeks. I'm loving it. He's churning out the coolest stuff. Here's one of my latest favorites:
Phineas & Ferb Max 3-2013
Sorry about the line through Phineas's head, that's my scanner, not the artwork itself. Perry KILLS me he's so cute. And I love the Max style, still so little kid, but also the characters are all really themselves. At least to me. Here's the other side of that one:
PizzaCatchers Max 3-2013
The Pizza Catchers are little cartoon characters that a friend of Max's made up one day at school. That friend has since gifted the rights to the characters to Max and now they are totally Max's. There are now about 15 of them too, grown from three. I'll have to show more of them later. There are whole comic books where they are featured. These two pages I'm showing you now are a bit unique becuase they have been colored, mostly we get just line drawings. I love them with color--again especially Perry.

That's my boy--goofy glamour shots self pose and all!

::the nunnel--photo version::

IMG_7085
IMG_7051
Sometimes the biggest challenge to me of posting on the blog is figuring out what the heck to say. have pictures galore, but the writing part sometimes just stumps me. Even though it's not REAL writing. And sometimes when I get done with a post I just feel like I blabbed out the most inane stuff ever on every photo. But then sometimes I go and read back and I've actually written funny stuff. Oh well. Anyway, I'm having a hard time thinking of what to say about these hiking pictures except that it was fun to go and find the tunnel, besides the part where I was worried that some boy or another was going to tumble off the edge of something.
They didn't though, thank goodness.
IMG_7029
Climbing up.
IMG_7030
IMG_7033
He, of course, insisted on doing it all himself. But he only got to do a little bit himself, since I'd prefer to keep him around. Max, however did it all himself, and fast.
IMG_7032
IMG_7038
Teeny boy, big nunnel. This was really more like two huge rocks that had fallen down into each other. Not so much a true tunnel. And boy did the wind whistle through there. It was a cool place.
IMG_7046
The bold adventurers!
And when you popped out the other side, this was the view:
IMG_7049
And this, a boy trying his best to fall off the edge. Really he didn't make me too nervous though.
IMG_7053
IMG_7050
When we hiked to the right after the tunnel there were a bunch of little slit canyons in the side of the rock which Max really liked.
IMG_7055
And then we went back.
IMG_7071
IMG_7066
IMG_7070
IMG_7073
Yes, they're cute. And then I made them pose for some pictures--the best part of any outing.
IMG_7040
IMG_7041
IMG_7043
IMG_7079
And that's the end! See we got through it, hopefully with a minimum on inanity and a lot of photos.

::little guy::

IMG_7023
I came out of my room the other morning and Sandy was already in his high chair eating breakfast. He looked up and said "Hi Mom! Have good sleep?" It doesn't get much cuter than that. I've never had a two year old ask me how I slept before.
IMG_7025
He likes to pretend like he's sleeping. Then he whispers "wake me up."
IMG_7026
Then he does.

Looking back sure gives some perspective. I just feel so lucky that we have such great photos and such easy access to them. It helps my bad memory so much to have those visual cues. Anyway, it's just fun to see the big boys so little.

::mazzels pt 2::

Second round of the pretzel font dialogues. This was today.
photo
Yesterday he says to me, "I could for sure do your name. I could do Dad's and Sandy's too." We'll see what he pulls off before we run out of pretzels.

::mazzles::

Max's teacher just emailed me the following photo: photo Yes, he's a cutie! And aren't smart phones the coolest things? And what kind of a cool teacher sends out pictures like that?
