::megs::

We're going to take a short break from the Staycation coverage (it's over now by the way, Kris is back at work, boo hoo.) to talk about Megan for a minute.
Megan is one of my oldest and dearest friends. We grew up together. We lived down the street from each other our whole lives and really are much more like cousins than anything else. We had tons of fun together, except for any of those times that I made her cry.
Megan is hilarious and fun and crazy. And even better, today is her birthday, yay!
This is Megan back in the day. She and her brother came over to see us on Christmas day. I think this was 1988 or 1987? Not sure. Anyway, I had just gotten my very first camera, and I think this may have been my very first picture ever taken.

Awesome, right?
And here's Megan at girl's camp. She's making one of her classic photo faces.

Oh Megan, you must never stop with your faces. Never ever.

But to the point. When I was in UT I got to visit Megan. She has three adorable little kiddos. I got to hang out for a while and take some pictures.
Look at how beautiful Megan is!

And check out how cute her kids are.

Will: (well I'm pretty sure this is Will anyway)

Here are the boys (Will & Coleman) getting ready for lunch. Megs has developed an excellent method for this. Strip down and eat.

This is a really good idea because twin boys + pbjs = the following:

Sticky, messy, cute little twins.

Megan, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Love you tons!!

See any resemblance?
That sideway smile is one that Max always does when he's trying to be cool, or when he's self conscious. He's totally aware of it too, because he's drawn pictures of himself with that smile before.

What a couple of cuties.

::boston adventure pt 3::

And here's the last little bit of our Boston adventure.
On the side of the church was a really cool little brick courtyard.

And on the left side of the courtyard there was this really pretty old gate.

I tried googling this gate to see if I could learn anything about it, but it appears to be unimportant--or so google thinks. I think it's cool. The gate led into this little square garden, walled with bricks. The bricks were all covered in ivy.

Max said he thought it was probably just like the Garden of Eden used to be. I told him I didn't agree, but it was a good observation.
Then I asked Kris to take a couple of pictures.

There aren't a lot of pictures of Max and I where I'm not holding the camera myself, so these are fun.

It was just such a cool area. It seemed like there were little secret places everywhere.

(yes, Kris is holding my purse, not his own)
Then we found one more little nook, down a little set of stairs from the original courtyard. And it was just too perfect for pictures. It cried out to be posed in. So we did.

(think max was done with posing yet?)

After that we headed home, since these late fall days have started getting dark pretty darn early.
And on the way home, like a gift, was the most gorgeous sunset I've seen in a while. I took so many photos trying to capture it that I had a really hard time picking just a couple to post. So here are three.

Amazing, right?
The end of this adventure, at least for now.

::cute people::

I have my computer back! And not only is it back, but I actually was able to restore the system from my back-up. So somehow, miraculously, my computer is back just like it was before I so dumbly dropped it. But with a new hard drive. And that can't be bad, right?

When I was going through some of my photo files while my computer was dead, I came across some great shots from this summer. I promised myself that when all was back in order I'd work these up and post them. So they're from back in June when were in UT. I have more from back then too, and sometime in the next while I'll probably post them to. But without any further ado, here are some cute people. People that I like.

(how can I not include him?)

These photos are from a trip to the Taco Friend with my cousin Bryce and his family. Admittedly, these are only the people sitting right across from me. There were other cute people at the table that didn't get their portraits taken. But I guess that's how it goes.
Here are the rest of us. Kris is taking the picture, and I think Charlotte was off doing something else, but she was there with us too.

Good times.

Oh, and nice face Bryce!
